The short answer
QuickBooks training in Chandler with AZ Easy CPA is one-on-one and built around your own company file. Chris Badulescu, a CPA and QuickBooks ProAdvisor at the Elite tier, teaches owners, office staff and in-house accountants the day-to-day tools: invoicing, bills, recording payroll entries correctly and running reports. Sessions are remote or in person.
What does QuickBooks training cover?
Training covers the tasks you actually do: sending invoices and receiving payments, entering and paying bills, reviewing bank feeds, recording payroll entries correctly and running the reports you need. We focus on your company file and your workflow, so what you learn applies the next morning.
Generic QuickBooks courses walk through every menu. Most owners need maybe a quarter of them. We start by asking what you do in QuickBooks each week, then build the sessions around that.
- Invoicing: creating invoices, recurring invoices, receiving payments and recording deposits so they match the bank
- Bills: entering bills, paying them and keeping accounts payable accurate
- Bank feeds: reviewing, matching and categorizing downloaded transactions
- Payroll entries: recording payroll from your provider correctly, so wages, taxes and liabilities land in the right accounts
- Reports: running and reading the profit and loss, balance sheet, accounts receivable aging and other reports you rely on
- Month-end habits: simple checks that keep the books clean between reviews
Who is QuickBooks training for?
Training works well for business owners who want to understand their own books, office managers and team members who handle invoicing and bills, and in-house accountants or bookkeepers who want to sharpen their QuickBooks Online skills. Each group gets sessions pitched at the right level.
Owners
You may not want to do the bookkeeping, but you want to understand it. Training for owners often centers on reading reports, spotting problems early and knowing what to ask.
Your team
Office staff who send invoices or enter bills need clear, repeatable steps. We train them on the exact tasks they handle, with permissions set so each person sees what they need.
In-house accountants and bookkeepers
For staff with accounting experience, training can go deeper into reconciliations, journal entries, closing the month and QuickBooks Online features they may not be using yet.
Why learn from a QuickBooks ProAdvisor in Chandler?
A QuickBooks ProAdvisor has been trained and certified by Intuit on the software. Chris is a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor at the Elite tier and also a CPA, so he can explain both how to click through a task and why it matters for your books.
The how and the why go together. Knowing which button to press is useful. Knowing that a customer payment should go to Undeposited Funds, or that a loan payment needs to be split between principal and interest, is what keeps the books right.
"He's helped both me and my barbershop stay on top of everything... My barbers also appreciate how approachable and clear he is." (Ali B., Google review)
Chris is patient and plain-spoken. Ask the question you think is too basic. It probably is not, and it is better to ask than to guess.
How do QuickBooks training sessions work?
Sessions are one-on-one or with a small group from your team, held remotely by screen share or in person. We work in your real QuickBooks file whenever possible, so you practice on actual customers, vendors and transactions. The number of sessions depends on what you want to learn.
- Free phone call to talk about who needs training and what they do in QuickBooks
- Quick look at your file so we know how it is set up and what to fix along the way
- Training sessions focused on your tasks, remote or in person
- Follow-up for questions that come up once you are working on your own
If we notice setup problems during training, like a messy chart of accounts or duplicate bank feeds, we will point them out. Fixing those usually makes the training stick better.
Which QuickBooks habits make the biggest difference?
A few weekly habits do most of the work: reviewing the bank feed instead of letting it pile up, matching deposits to invoices, attaching receipts as you go, entering bills when they arrive and reconciling every account each month. Training builds those habits into your routine so the books stay clean between reviews.
Most QuickBooks problems we clean up trace back to the same handful of shortcuts. Training is a good time to swap them for habits that take a few minutes a week.
- Match, do not add: when a customer payment shows up in the bank feed, match it to the open invoice instead of adding it as new income, which is how revenue gets counted twice
- Review the feed weekly: a few minutes each week beats a few hundred transactions at year-end
- Attach receipts: snap and attach receipts for larger purchases when they happen
- Split loan payments: record principal against the loan balance and only the interest as an expense
- Reconcile monthly: tie every bank and credit card account to its statement
We practice each of these in your own file, so they feel familiar by the end of the session.
Training vs having us do the bookkeeping
Training makes sense if you or your team want to keep the books in house. Monthly bookkeeping makes sense if you would rather hand it off. Many clients do a mix: their team handles invoices and bills, and we handle reconciliations, the month-end close and reports.
| QuickBooks training | Monthly bookkeeping | A mix of both | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who enters transactions | You or your team | Our team | Your team for daily tasks |
| Who reconciles and closes | You or your team | Our team | Our team |
| Reports and review | You run them | Monthly reports and a strategy session | Monthly reports and a strategy session |
| Best for | Owners or staff who want to do it themselves | Owners who want it off their plate | Teams who handle billing but want a CPA on the books |

QuickBooks Training questions
Is QuickBooks training one-on-one?
Yes. Training is one-on-one or with a small group from your own team, so it is built around your file and your tasks rather than a classroom script.
Do you train on QuickBooks Desktop or only Online?
Most of our training is in QuickBooks Online, and Chris is a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. If you are still on Desktop, we can talk on your free call about training or a conversion to Online.
Can you train my staff?
Yes. We train office staff on the tasks they handle, like invoicing and bills, and we can train in-house accountants and bookkeepers on deeper topics like reconciliations and closing the month.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you want to learn and how comfortable you are with QuickBooks today. Some people need one focused session, others prefer a few sessions spread out. We will suggest a plan after the free call.
Can training happen remotely?
Yes. Most sessions are done by screen share, which works well for learning in your own file. In-person sessions in Chandler are available too.
Will you teach me how to run payroll?
We do not run payroll in house, but we teach you how to record payroll entries from your provider correctly in QuickBooks. For payroll processing itself, we work with trusted partners.
What if my QuickBooks file is a mess?
That is common. We may suggest a cleanup before or alongside training, so you learn on accurate books.
